Become a Pioneer

For every student, there's a different reason to love DU.

Liberal Arts Advantage

Give to Liberal Arts Advantage

Contributions to the Liberal Arts Advantage program will provide AHSS students with opportunities to develop skills necessary to become leaders within their field and transition from an academic setting to a successful career. To make a secure gift online, visit our Giving Page.

Investment Opportunities

Academic Internships
Internships provide a link between academic learning and professional employment.  Students at DU can take internships under the supervision of a faculty member while also gaining professional experience.  Many internships are unpaid. Students who need to work for an income are less likely to pursue an unpaid internship. Grants funded by donor contributions allow students to gain authentic career experience, which leads them to define their career goals and gain professional work experience all while serving the public good.

Student Leadership
The AHSS Undergraduate & Graduate Student Advisory Councils provide important leadership opportunities to Liberal Arts students. Support in this area helps develop of a student voice within AHSS.

Research and Conferences
High value research produces growth for students at the undergraduate and graduate level. Support will allow students to pursue research interests that will further their field, build their academic reputation and increase prestige for the University of Denver.

Attending conferences allows students to interact with and learn from leaders within their fields, build professional networks and present their research. Contributions can be used to offset the costs of travel and registration which often serves as a barrier to this valuable experience.

Courses to Careers: Putting Your AHSS Degree to Work
Courses to Careers is an event series aimed to assist AHSS students in developing a career in their field of study. The event series includes informational panels with alumni and potential employers, job preparation workshops, networking events and career/internship fairs.

Distinguished Speaker Series
Each year DU will bring an outstanding liberal arts leader to campus to present to students, faculty, staff and the Denver community.  This year, we are featuring Van Jones, co-host of CNN's Crossfire. Jones will be on campus on April 14, 2015.
