  • Congratulations to Michael Thomas who recently passed the strenuous Foreign Service Exam!

Michael came to Denver after receiving his undergraduate degree in International Relations and Environmental Studies from Franklin College in Switzerland.

  • Erin O'Reilly, the new Director of Advocacy for the American Heart Association, will be presenting her policy memorandum capstone research at the Western Social Science Association's (WSSA) 55th annual Conference on April 10-13.

Erin will be presenting her paper, Medicaid and adults without dependent children: An examination of various policy options regarding Medicaid expansion for adults without dependent children in the WSSA section of Chronic Disease and Disability.

  • Dr. Andy Sharma recently attended the Southern Demographic Association's Annual Conference inWilliamsburg, Virginia in early October. Dr. Sharma, the Institute for Public Policy Studies political economist, specializes in aging, health disparities, later-life migration and quantitative methods. Dr. Sharma presented his research entitled Racial Isolation and Student Performance.
  • Congratulations to the 2013 Marshall Memorial Fellows who were recently chosen during the competitive application process. The Institute for Public Policy Studies is proud to serve as the Rocky Mountain Regional Coordinators for the prestigious fellowship which provides trans-atlantic immersion opportunities for policy-minded professionals.
