Conferences
The Center for Judaic Studies hosts and co-sponsors a variety of national and international conferences on campus, including:
- A unique series of "Decalogue" gatherings which bring together ten Judaic Studies theorists for a lively series of conversations; to date we have hosted Decalogue gatherings on the topics "Where is God?" and "Jewish Humor"; stay-tuned for upcoming Decalogues!
- An annual Philosophy in the Abrahamic Traditions conference (held on a rotating basis at DU and Marquette University); this is an opportunity for students and scholars of medieval texts to share their current work in Jewish, Islamic, and Christian medieval philosophy.
- Our Hebrew Seminar, offering teachers a setting in which to sharpen their pedagogical and technology skills related to the teaching of Hebrew in the classroom.
- And more!
Additionally, CJS faculty members and their students present their research at conferences around the world.
