Housed within the University of Denver's Center for Judaic Studies, the Holocaust Awareness Institute was established in 1983. Serving both the academic and larger community, HAI is a leading voice in the region for Holocaust education and programming.
HAI provides an academically oriented and intellectually stimulating perspective on the events surrounding the Holocaust through DU courses, faculty research, teacher training programs, a Speakers Bureau, Tolerance Trunks, lectures and symposia, community collaborations and coordination of Holocaust Awareness Week activities throughout the community. HAI also helped develop DU's Holocaust Memorial Social Action Site, and continues to help develop innovative programming at that unique site.
The Institute works closely with community partners such as the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) in Washington, D.C., and is a member of the Association of Holocaust Organizations (AHO) nationwide.
The Holocaust Awareness Institute of the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Denver is supported by your donations.
