Interim Dean Roberts is a developmental and cognitive psychologist who studies processes viewed as central to organizing everyday behavior, such as working memory, inhibition and attention. Using eye tracking methods, his research examines how processes mostly outside of awareness underlie everyday action selection and help explain both adaptive and maladaptive behavior.
During his 26 years at DU, Roberts has been a leader on campus. In particular, he served as chair of the psychology department for 12 years.
