Adrienne Gonzales, Foreign Language Pedagogy & Technology Specialist
Adrienne Gonzales came to DU from the University of New Mexico, where she earned a PhD in Hispanic linguistics. Her academic interests include second language acquisition, computer assisted language learning, and interlanguage pragmatic development.
Adrienne holds an MA in Spanish language and translation from New York University in Madrid, Spain, and a BA in Latin American studies from the University of New Mexico.
She is also a College Reading & Learning Association master certified tutor.
Kathy Mahnke, Director
M. Kathleen Mahnke is a professor in DU's Languages and Literatures Department. She holds a PhD in applied linguistics from Indiana University, and her special interests include second language acquisition and language teaching.
Kathy has lived and worked in Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, Japan and Oman.
Mary Shonk, Office Manager
Mary Shonk worked as the Office Manager at the DU High School several years ago and has returned to DU. She holds degrees in Anthropology and Environmental Policy (DU '99). Mary had a previous career in the travel computer industry and has visited 26 countries.
