The Lamont School of Music offers the Artist Diploma program, a highly selective, intensive and focused program of professional studies designed to provide advanced training in the art of musical performance and interpretation.

In order to qualify for an F-1 or J-1 visa, students must enroll in at least eight (8) credit hours per quarter, with the exception of their final quarter at DU. As a Certificate candidate, you may be required to register for credit hours and coursework additional to the minimum requirements of your program in order to fulfill the 8-credit requirement.
With a minimum of academic requirements, the AD is ideal for highly accomplished conductors determined to pursue a professional career in conducting. A completed degree in music or its equivalent from a recognized school of music is required for admission.
With a minimum of academic requirements, the AD is ideal for highly accomplished instrumentalists and vocalists determined to pursue a solo career. Because studios are kept small, all AD students study individually with faculty and enjoy a wealth of performance time. A completed high school diploma is required for admission. Competitive applicants will have extensive performance experience.
