Housing & Dining

Housing is in the newly renovated Johnson-McFarlane Hall, the nearest residence hall to the Newman Center, featuring double occupancy rooms. Breakfast and dinner are in Nelson Dining Hall, featuring a wide variety of menu options, including vegetarian and gluten-free. Most lunches are catered at the Newman Center. Students with special health required dietary restrictions are accommodated. Academy enrollment includes both residential and commuter options.

Recreation

Organized recreational activities are held at the residence hall, the University of Denver Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness, and outside the university at area parks, museums, restaurants and other venues. Evenings are devoted to performance classes, recitals, movies, and planned activities such as swimming, ice-skating, rock-climbing, and tennis. Off-campus excursions are planned as part of the recreational activities. Counselors supervise recreation and free time activities.
