The Department of Media, Film & Journalism Studies offers you a broad-based understanding of the role and operation of the media in contemporary society.

Our undergraduate degree programs prepare you for the competitive and continually-evolving communications market. You can choose from a bachelor of arts in film studies and production, journalism studies, media studies or strategic communication (public relations).

Our graduate programs provide a unique curriculum focusing on the social, economic, digital, cultural, legal and public policy implications of the digital, traditional and mobile media environments. You can choose from a master of arts in media, film & journalism studies (student designed emphasis or video production emphasis); a master of science in strategic communication (public relations) and a master of arts in international and intercultural communication. Several dual-degree combinations are also available.
