By choosing our political science minor, you can explore the fundamental principles of political science and pursue particular subject areas of interest.
The political science minor is extremely flexible; to earn the minor, you must:
- Take at least 20 quarter hours of political science courses—at least 12 quarter hours of which are at the 2000- or 3000-level.
- Apply no more than 10 transfer or study abroad credits toward the minor.
If you're interested in pursuing the minor, we recommend that you take at least one introductory-level course in political science, such as PLSC 1000: Introduction to American Politics; PSLC 1610: Introduction to Politics: Power and Justice; PSLC 1110: Introduction to World Politics; or PLSC 1810: Introduction to Socio-Legal Studies.
Otherwise, you may select classes that are most interesting to you, as long as you meet the courses' prerequisites or speak to their instructors.
