Admission

Undergraduate Application Process

We offer BA and BS degrees, a minor in psychology and an optional concentration in cognitive neuroscience. DU accepts both the Common Application and the University of Denver application. Our admission counselors are here to help you during each step of your admission process.

Dual Degree Application Process

Our dual degree program allows advanced undergraduate psychology majors to simultaneously pursue a BA or BS and a MS degree. Students should apply to DU using the undergraduate process. Students can then apply to the MS portion of the dual degree in their junior year.

Graduate Application Process

Graduate students pursue one of our doctoral programs and are selected based on faculty-student research compatibility, past research experience, a strong academic record with competitive test scores and three letters of recommendation emphasizing research potential. To apply and see specific requirements, select your psychology program of choice.

Financial Aid & Awards

Undergraduate Aid

We offer two merit-based scholarships for psychology majors and two awards granted to exceptional juniors and seniors in psychology. DU provides additional grants and scholarships, work-study opportunities, student loans and summer aid.

Graduate Aid

All full-time graduate students admitted to the doctoral programs in psychology receive a stipend, full tuition waiver and health insurance waiver during their first four years of study. The Harry Gollob award is granted to a current graduate student for best first author publication. DU provides additional grants and scholarships, work-study opportunities, student loans and summer aid.
