The English Department at the University of Denver prepares students to be independent and enlightened readers and writers. Our English majors acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to think creatively and communicate effectively in a variety fields and professions.

Creative Writing

We have the second oldest doctoral creative writing program in the U.S.  Our graduates produce some of the most original and accomplished writing in the country.
