Interests:

I am assistant professor of Jewish and Middle Eastern history with a research emphasis on Jewish life in the late Ottoman Empire. My teaching interests include early Islamic history, Ottoman history, modern Middle Eastern history, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and United States foreign policy in the Middle East. I am especially passionate about introducing students to the academic study and historiography of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
