Audition Requirements--Clarinet

Undergraduate (BM and BA)

  1. All major scales and minor scales
  2. Weber, Concertino or two contrasting movements (one fast, one slow, can be from different concertos) from the following:
           * Mozart, Clarinet Concerto
           * Weber, Concerto No. 1
           * Weber, Concerto No. 2

Graduate (MM) and Certificate in Performance

  1. All major and minor scales
  2. A complete solo work from the following:
        * Mozart, Clarinet Concerto
        * Weber, Concerto No. 1
        * Weber, Conceto No. 2
        * Debussy, Premier Rhapsodie
  3. An unaccompanied 20th century solo
  4. Sight reading to be selected at audition
