Audition Requirements--Flute

Undergraduate (BM and BA)

  1. All major and minor scales
  2. Three-octave chromatic scale
  3. Two contrasting movements from one of the following:
        * Any Bach, Handel, or Telemann Sonata
        * Mozart, Concerto in G Major
        * Mozart, Concerto in D Major
  4. Any French conservatory solo, i.e. Faure Fantasie, Enesco,
            Cantabile and Presto, Chaminade Concertino, etc.

Graduate (MM) and Certificate in Performance

  1.  Two contrasting movements from one of the following:
        * Bach, Sonata in E Minor
        * Bach, Sonata in B Minor
        * Mozart, Concerto in G Major
        * Mozart, Concerto in D Major
  2. One or two movements from two of the following;
        * Dutilleux, Sonatina
        * Liebermann, Sonata
        * Hindemith, Sonate
        * Prokofieff, Sonata
        * Ibert, Concerto
        * Widor, Suite op. 34 #1
