Audition Requirements--Harp

Undergraduate (BM and BA)

  1. Two pieces of contrasting character, entire works, concert etudes, or single movements from sonatas, suites, or concerti selected from different periods:
        * Renaissance/Baroque
        * Classical
        * Romantic/Post-Romantic
        * Twentieth Century
  2. Sight reading to be selected at the audition

Graduate (MM) and Certificate in Performance 

  1. Solo works:
        * Handel. Concerto in B-flat, op. 4, no. 6 complete OR Debussy Danses complete
        * One Nineteenth Century piece or movement from multi-movt. work of applicant's choice
        * One Twentieth-Century piece or movement from multi-movt. work of applicant's choice
  2. Orchestral Excerpts; Ravel. Tzigane OR Rimsky-Korsakov Capriccio espagnol. Harp Cadenza
  3. Sight reading to be selected at the audition
