Nancy Cochran, newly named Director of the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, previously served as Director of the Division of Music at Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University, Director of the School of Music at Texas Tech University and for 28 years as Professor of Horn in the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Ben joined the Lamont School of Music’s public relations team in 2013. Originally from the Hoosier state, Ben received his M.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication from the University of Colorado.  He enjoys exploring Colorado running, backpacking and climbing with his intrepid cattle dog Fletcher.  A cellist for over 20 years, Ben has performed with the Lakewood Symphony and Aprilis String Quartet.

Rachel received a Master's degree in percussion performance from Lamont School of Music and currently holds the principal percussion position in the Lakewood and Lone Tree Symphonies.

After growing up in Great Falls, MT, Jordan moved to Rochester, NY to study at the Eastman School of Music. While at Eastman, Jordan completed a Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance, a Bachelors of Music in Music Education, a Masters of Arts in Ethnomusicology, and also completed secondary studies in Vocal Performance and World Music.

Keith Jones has always been passionate about music. He began working at the Lamont School of Music in 2004, and has been continuing to learn and grow as a technician. He attends the Piano Technicians Guild Conferences annually, where there are many opportunities to learn from fellow technicians. This past summer he attended the C.F. Theodore Steinway Academy at the Steinway factory in Queens, New York.

A co-founder of the former Da Vinci Quartet in 1980, Katharine Knight has performed across the United States, as well as in Russia, England and Canada. She has recorded extensively; and, with abundant teaching credits to her name, is also a veteran of many international competitions.

Suzanne L. Moulton-Gertig holds an undergraduate degree from James Madison University, two masters degrees from Kent State University (in Musicology and Library Science), and a Ph.D. in Historical Musicology from the University of Colorado-Boulder (Dissertation, "The Life and Works of Emil Nikolaus von Reznicek, 1860-1945."). She teaches in both the academic and conservatory divisions of Lamont School of Music. In addition, she serves as head of the Bonfils Stanton Music Library. Professor Moulton-Gertig has given invited papers both nationally and internationally. She has served as chapter chair of both the Music Library Association and American Musicological Society, and chapter president of American Harp Society. She is currently on the national board of the American Harp Society and serves as Midwestern Regional Director. A former editor of Ars Music Denver and The American Harp Journal, Moulton-Gertig is the editor of The Ostracon: The Journal of the Egyptian Study Society presently.

Jerrod Price has been the Director of Admission at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver since July 2007. Before coming to The University of Denver, Mr. Price worked as Admission Counselor for the prestigious Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. As a graduate student at Indiana University, Mr. Price began his career as an administrator at the Office of Financial Assistance.

Noemí Pérez-Silva joined the Lamont School of Music as Admissions Coordinator in the Fall of 2012.  Prior to coming to The University of Denver, she worked in the music admissions office at the Florida State University.  Noemí holds a Master in Arts Administration from the Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Florida.  She is also an active performer and educator.

          Mary Beth Barteau Shaffer, is director of the Summer Pre-College Academy at the Lamont School of Music.  Previously, she served as assistant director and as a member of the piano faculty for the Academy.  She has also taught at Grinnell College, The University of Iowa, Northwestern College, the University of St. Thomas, Rocky Ridge Music Center, and Pikes Peak Community College, and has worked extensively in Arts Administration at The University of Iowa for Hancher Auditorium, Arts Education Outreach, and Project Art.

Jack Sheinbaum earned an AB in music and psychology at Brown University, and wrote a dissertation at Cornell University on cultural readings of form and musical color in Mahler's symphonies. Professor Sheinbaum has presented papers at national and international conferences, served as co-chair of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the American Musicological Society, and is currently the musicology representative of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the College Music Society and the president of the DU chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

Kerry (Webb) Walsh received her Artist Diploma in Trumpet Performance at the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Music Degree at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Kerry began her career at the University of Denver as the Student Affairs Coordinator in January of 2011. She is happy to facilitate the needs of Lamont's students and is enthusiastic about continuing the commitment towards excellence to the school from which she graduated.

Originally from River Falls, Wisconsin near the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, Chris earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree with elective emphasis in Art and Theatre from the University of Wisconsin/River Falls.  After graduation, he played horn professionally and was Director of Publicity with the United States Air Force Academy Band.

Martha Yordy has been involved in musical theater for over thirty years. She joined the Lamont Opera Program in 1996, and has served as the opera accompanist since then.  She also is the musical director for the DU winter musicals in collaboration with the Theater Department.
