Jerrod Price has been the Director of Admission at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver since July 2007. Before coming to The University of Denver, Mr. Price worked as Admission Counselor for the prestigious Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. As a graduate student at Indiana University, Mr. Price began his career as an administrator at the Office of Financial Assistance.
Mr. Price completed his Masters Degree in Trumpet Performance at Indiana University in 2005. Before choosing the route of administration, Mr .Price was a finalist for 2 U.S. Army Premier Bands. He has performed with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Terre Haute Symphony, Owensboro Symphony, Brazos Valley Symphony and the Woodlands Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Price was also a contract musician for the Miller Outdoor Theatre for such shows as The King and I and Cinderella. As a chamber musician, Mr. Price has performed with professional chamber groups including Main Street Brass, Ambient Brass and The Denver Brass. He continues to maintain a private studio, and is still an active performer, teacher and clinician.
