Lamont School of Music

Concerts & Events

This year we celebrate our first decade in the beautiful Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts.

Newman Center

The Lamont School of Music presents nearly 300 concerts every year and 250 concerts are on us - that means 250 of these performances are absolutely free and many do not require tickets.

In addition to our complimentary concerts we are introducing $10 tickets, in celebration of the tenth anniversary, for all Faculty Recitals and Guest Artist Performances.

Concerts and events, except Operas, Lamont Society events, and fundraisers, are free to all students and University of Denver faculty and staff.

Lamont Opera Theatre

The Lamont Opera Theatre and the Lamont Symphony Orchestra present two fully produced operas during the season - Engelbert Humperdinck's fairy tale opera Hansel & Gretel, November 1-4, 2012 and Carlisle Floyd's moving and relevant Susannah, April 18-21, 2013.  Reserved seats in June Swaner Gates Concert Hall range in price from $11 to $30.  Reserve your tickets now at www.newmantix.com
