Opera Classics to Broadway Melodies
September 27, 7:30pm, Hamilton Recital Hall
Professor Kenneth Cox, Vocal Arts Department Chair and Director of the Lamont Opera Theatre, will act as emcee, joining his fellow voice faculty members with Ruth Baker at the piano, and some of our most outstanding students performing Opera Classics to Broadway Melodies.

Joe Galema – The Pipe Organ: King of Instruments
January 18, 5:00pm, Hamilton Recital Hall
The pipe organ has pipes ranging from pencil size to more than 32 feet long. Explore this magnificent one-player orchestra with Joe Galema, organ instructor at the Lamont School of Music and music director and Academy organist at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Tour the actual inner workings of the William K. Coors Pipe Organ and hear Joe providing short performances from centuries of music.


Linda Wang and Alice Rybak Recital
February 22, 7:30pm, Hamilton Recital Hall
Linda Wang is among the premier violinists of her generation, praised for her artistry, warm singing tone and charismatic performances. Pianist Alice Rybak has had a distinguished career as both a solo and collaborative artist and teacher. Both have studied at the Juilliard School, performed at Carnegie Hall, appeared internationally, and presented recitals together at Lamont for the past six years.

Sarah Morelli – What Is World Music and Why Does It Matter?
March 28, 5:00pm, Williams Recital Salon
Musicians around the world have greater access to one another's musical styles and are combining them in innovative ways. We will unravel what is meant by the term "world music" as we explore musical styles from cultures around the globe and discuss why access to diverse musics and cultures is important for Lamont students to engage with music, musicians, and audiences as global citizens.
Showcase Lamont
May 14, 7:30pm, Hamilton Recital Hall
Experience a glittering black-tie evening of champagne and performances featuring many of Lamont's finest students. This finale to the year ends with a lavish reception. Showcase Lamont is the perfect evening and our way of letting you know how important your support is to us.
