High-Tech Facility
The Newman Center uses state-of-the-art technology in both communications and audio/visual equipment. Each of the performance, rehearsal and practice spaces in the Newman Center are wired to the recording studio, located in the lower level of Trevorrow Hall. From international artists performing in Gates Concert Hall, to faculty and student recitals in any of the rehearsal spaces, each room may be multi-track recorded to produce professional quality recordings. Classrooms use "smart-to-the-seat" technology, whereby computer ports and electrical outlets are wired to every seat in every classroom in the building.
