Cellist Michael Haber, a student of Janos Starker and Gregor Piatigorsky, was a member of The Cleveland Orchestra under George Szell, the Casals Festival Orchestra under Pablo Casals and The Mostly Mozart Orchestra at Lincoln Center in New York City. He was the principal cellist of several orchestras, including the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra in Boulder, Colorado. With the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, he toured and recorded throughout Europe, the USA and Asia. Mr. Haber has been on the cello and chamber music faculties of Oberlin College, Indiana University, The New England Conservatory of Music, the Eastman School of Music, and Boston University.
Mr. Slavich is widely recognized as a dedicated and demanding teacher. Chair of the string department at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music, he directs the cello and chamber music programs, and each year offers a ten-week seminar on combating "stage fright". He has presented cello master-classes throughout the US, and in Canada, India, Thailand , and Malaysia. His essay "A Player's Guide to the Popper Etudes" appeared in the May 2001 ASTA Journal.
Carol Tarr is an active teacher and performer in the United States. Currently, she is an adjunct professor of Cello Pedagogy at the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music. She maintains a busy studio in her home in Lakewood, Coloardo. She also teaches students at Beth Eden Baptist School, Lakewood.
