John   Kinzie

John Kinzie

John Kinzie is currently the Director of Percussion Studies of the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver . He teaches percussion and timpani performance as well as percussion ensemble, master classes, and percussion pedagogy and repertoire. Mr. Kinzie is the principal percussionist of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 1985.

  • Background: 

    Prior to his appointment with the CSO, Mr. Kinzie was principal percussionist with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, a position he won at the age of 19.

Mike   Marlier

Mike Marlier
Mike Marlier is in his 16th year as the Director of Drum Set Studies at Lamont.  He started playing drums at the age of 5, and hasn't stopped.  As a teacher, he strives to share his vast playing experience with his students, creating a curriculum that is engaging and diverse.

Tom Miller

Tom is the founder and president of one of the foremost steel drum music publishing companies, Pan Ramajay Productions (www.ramajay.com).  Pan Ramajay Productions features Tom's own compositions and recordings as well as those of other prominent steel drum composers. The company's catalog has garnered sales of steel drum sheet music and recordings worldwide.
