Kate Emerich
Publications:
Ms. Emerich has authored numerous articles on the singing voice seen in the Journal of Voice, the Journal of Singing, NATS, and in book chapters. She also has two articles on the internet site "OperaMom.com" concerning hormones and the voice. Ms. Emerich has given master classes, lectures and taught courses on pedagogy and care of the professional voice nationally and internationally. She worked as chair of the workshops for the International Symposium: Care of the Professional Voice in Philadelphia and she is on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Voice. Performance:Ms. Emerich has performed as a soloist in concerts and recitals both locally and nationally. Her stage repertoire includes the roles of Damigella in The Coronation of Poppea , Mary in The Crucible , and Colette in Le Devin du Village. She recorded original songs by Annetta Rosser that are archived on NPR. Ms. Emerich has performed as a soloist, performing works including the Mozart Requiem, Faure Requiem, Handel's Messiah, and Mozart Vespers, among others. She performed the Rutter Gloria with our own Denver Brass, and recently recorded de Falla's Seven Spanish Songs with harpists Courtney Hershey Bress and James Pinkerton. Her latest performances include with the Up Close and Musical Chamber Orchestra featuring " Piangero" from Handel's Julius Caesar, and Musetta in La Boheme with Opera Theatre of the Rockies in May of 2006. |
