The Certificate in Orchestral Studies program is a selective, intensive and focused 1 year program of professional studies designed to provide training in the art of musical performance and interpretation, with a minimum of academic requirements, to accomplished instrumentalists and conductors determined to pursue an orchestral career.
As a bassoon student, you have the opportunity to study with the principal Bassoonist of Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Chad Cognata. You will also perform under the baton of Maestro's Lawrence Golan and Joseph Martin in the spectacular Gates Concert Hall. Lamont also maintains great relationships with the greater Denver Performing Arts Ensembles, which may provide professional performance opportunities. Because studio size is limited, all master's students at Lamont study with faculty, and enjoy a wealth of performance time.
We invite you to explore our Web site to learn more about this exciting opportunity of studying music at Lamont.
