Artist Diploma--Orchestral Conducting

Make Music at Lamont

The Artist Diploma program is a highly selective, intensive and focused program of professional studies designed to provide advanced training in the art of musical performance and interpretation, with a minimum of academic requirements, to highly accomplished instrumentalists, vocalists and conductors determined to pursue a solo career.

More than merely an ensemble, the Lamont Symphony Orchestra provides a comprehensive and intense learning experience that prepares students for careers as orchestral musicians. In addition to conducting this terrific ensemble in Gates Concert Hall, you also have the unique opportunity to work closely with Lawrence Golan, a conductor of tremendous stature. In addition to his post as director of Orchestral Studies at Lamont, he is also conductor-in-residence of the Phoenix Symphony, and is frequently a guest conductor and clinician at professional orchestras across the country.
