In the Jazz Studies and Commercial Music Program, our faculty of artists/teachers
are dedicated to expanding your creativity while providing the experience and knowledge
necessary to build a career in performing, composing, arranging and recording jazz
and contemporary music. Because studio classes are kept small, all Lamont students
study individually with faculty. Under the direction of Malcolm Lynn Baker, all Jazz
majors enjoy a wealth of performance time in one of our three big bands and 12 innovative
jazz combos.
