The Conservatory Program offers professional training in the performance, composition and pedagogy of Western art music. The emphasis is a hands-on, performance oriented training within a rigorous and innovative academic training. As an Oboe student, you have the opportunity to study with Dr. Sarah Mellander Bierhaus. You will also perform under the baton of Maestros Lawrence Golan and Joseph Martin in the spectacular Gates Concert Hall. Because studio space is small and select, all music majors at Lamont study with faculty, and enjoy a wealth of performance time.
