The Conservatory Program offers professional training in the performance, composition and pedagogy of Western art music. The emphasis is a hands-on, performance oriented training within a rigorous and innovative academic training. As a viola student, you have the opportunity to study the principal violist of the Colorado Symphony, Basil Vendrys. You will also perform under the baton of Maestro Lawrence Golan in the spectacular Gates Concert Hall. Because studio size is limited, all music majors at Lamont study with faculty and enjoy a wealth of performance time.
