Welcome back students!

It has been a busy and eventful summer here at Languages & Literatures and we are happy to have our returning students as well as incoming freshman and transfer students on campus.

Joining our faculty this quarter are Assistant Professor of Italian Gian Maria Annovi, Lecturer of Russian Mila Shevchenko and Lecturer of Spanish Alicia Barron-Lopez.   The three bring a wealth of expertise to their respective sections.

Be sure to check this page regularly for announcements pertaining to events, study abroad programs and other L&L related functions!

The Center for World Languages and Cultures

The Center of World Languages and Cultures (located in Sturm Hall 201) now handles all undergraduate and graduate placement testing.  Please click here to learn more information about language testing at DU.

As it grows the CWLC will become a more integral part to the language learning experience here at DU. They curated the inaugural Summer Language Institute and plans are in the works for SLI 2012.  You can read more about this past summer’s programs in Arabic and French here.

Furthermore, the CWLC is once again offering its free of charge peer tutoring for DU students “preparing for language proficiency exams, seeking extra help in language courses or practicing conversation in a foreign language.”  Read more about the CWLC’s tutoring policies and procedures here
