At the University of Denver, students learn Chinese language and culture not only from innovative classrooms, but also from a rich Chinese cultural environment on the campus and in the city of Denver. There are a couple of hundreds students and scholars from Chinese speaking countries and areas. Each year, DU Chinese Student and Scholar Association (CSSA) and Taiwanese Student Association organize a variety of social and cultural activities, such as Festival of Nations, celebrations of Chinese Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival, participation in Chinese language and culture-oriented contests in the Denver and Colorado area, field trips to Chinese arts exhibitions and films, International Pin-pong Tournament and other group outings.
