Background:

Huijie Zhang received her Master's Degree in East Asian Languages, Literatures and Civilization from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2000.  In 2001 she initiated the Chinese language program at the University of Denver, where she is currently serving as Senior Lecturer and the coordinator for the beginning and intermediate Chinese language programs.

Huijie specializes in Ming Dynasty literature.  Huijie has been a Chinese language instructor for over 25 years.  A native of Beijing, Huijie has a superb knowledge of the Mandarin language, and is a highly regarded instructor.  Huijie also participates in the popular China study abroad program.  She actively supports her students and is passionate about her teaching.
