Background:

Helene Grall-Johnson, a native of Bordeaux, France, has been teaching French language courses at DU for over 10 years.  She came to the US as a graduate student in geology and completed a PhD on the origin of South Pacific volcanic islands.  Her interests in cultural landscapes, as well as Art and Science, may sometimes transpire in her French classes!
