Goethe Institut Testing - Zertifikat Deutsch fuer den Beruf
(Certificate German for the Profession)

DU's German Department, in conjunction with the Goethe Institut Chicago, offers testings for the internationally recognized Zertifikat Deutsch fuer den Beruf (ZDfB).
This examination measures the candidates' ability to function in business related communicative situations. The approximately 3 hour test consists of four written parts (vocabulary and grammar, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and basic business correspondence), and an oral part (self-representation, description and interpretation of a business-related graphic, role playing in a selected business situation).
