Since 1995 Mr. Henry Leir's annual financial gift has been converted into the Leir Scholarship for Study Abroad to help individual students with their expenses. Each year we have divided a $1,000.00 gift into two $500.00 scholarships. As a result students have had the opportunity to study in Latin America and Spain. Several of these students have been double majors; thus the impact of their experiences is now and will be felt in such diverse fields as literature and culture, business, international relations, and education. Study abroad is no longer an impossible dream for outstanding students with financial need. Our faculty and our Leir scholars are profoundly grateful for this support.
