Interests:

Areas of research and teaching Research focuses on young people and their uses of new and visual media, especially as these uses are related to family relationships and occur in varied socio-economic contexts. Other research includes the role of North Amerian media and marketing institutions in the shaping fo relisious understandings; international and interdisciplinary developments in the study of communication audiences; and the role of alternative journalism nad the entertainment media in various social movements.
