Interested in exploring the world of video production and/or screenwriting? The Master of Arts in Media, Film & Journalism Studies with a Video Production Emphasis is where you'll want to start your journey. Whether you're a seasoned pro with a video camera or not, our Video Production Emphasis gives you the background, knowledge and skills you'll need to apply your talent in a multitude of ways.
The program is a 48-hour, two year degree path. During your first year, you'll gain both an understanding of the field of mass communications and the basic technical and aesthetic skills in video production and writing. As you progress in your studies, you'll develop a thesis project proposal which will guide you through the process of researching, shooting and editing a video production or the process of researching and writing a screenplay or teleplays. To successfully complete the program, you'll need to defend the thesis project before your graduate thesis committee.
