The Department of Religious Studies recognizes that graduate study is both demanding and expensive, and works to support students during their time at DU and after graduation. Full-time students typically complete their course work in five or six quarters before working on their thesis or other final project.
Most graduate courses in the Department are scheduled for two-hour block classes either on a Monday-Wednesday or a Tuesday-Thursday schedule to allow for work schedules. Other courses are offered as once-per-week, four-hour block classes that meet on Tuesday or Thursday evenings, or Friday during the day.
The Department tries to provide courses in a range of times, from 8:00am to 8:00pm, and offers at least one online course per year.
