General Communication

This module is designed for students who want to gain a broader-based--versus a specifically-focused--knowledge of communication in their undergraduate major.

The core requirements for this module place greater emphasis on foundational theory to give students a broader and more integrated understanding of the concepts and issues in human and mass communication. This also provides students with a strong basis for further study and application in the General Communication Module.

By gaining a wide-ranging knowledge of communication through the General Communication Module, students lay the foundation for pursuing a variety of careers. A general overall comprehension of human and mass communication will also complement knowledge and skills gained in other programs, particularly those in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences or the Daniels College of Business.
