Interpersonal and Family Communication

This module invites students to explore how human communication works in everyday lives: in relationships with family and friends and the people they encounter in their daily routines such as work and social groups. Interaction is seen to be fundamental to the development and maintenance of these relationships and social life.

The courses in this module are designed and arranged to heighten students' awareness of the communication processes and social implications of the ways in which they interact with and relate to one another.

Students who take courses in this module will gain an understanding of methods of interaction as well as methods of studying and facilitating interaction, which will provide them with knowledge of human communication that can be utilized in any career, especially those that are human relations or social service.
