Faculty Scott Phillips
Background:Scott Phillips, Associate Professor, received his PhD in Sociology from the University of Georgia in 2000. His areas of interest are criminology and sociology of law. His recent research examines violent and non-violent conflict management, use of force during the arrest and detention of deportees, and capital punishment. His research has been published in several journals, including Law and Society Review, Criminology, Social Forces, and American Sociological Review.
