We offer a flexible art minor that allows the student to take any combination of Art, Art History, and eMAD classes. for students who began study at DU before fall quarter 2008 the art minor requires a minimum of 22 hours within the School of Art and Art History, including at least one upper-division course. For Students who began study at DU after fall quarter 2008 the art minor requires a minimum of 24 hours, including at least one upper-division course. To receive credit toward the minor, a student must receive a C- or above in the course. A minimum of 10 hours must be taken on campus at DU. BA students may combine majors or minors within the School of Art and Art History, but no reduction in total hours will be allowed.
For the art history minor, ARTH 1810 Survey I (4 credit hrs.) and ARTH 1820 (4 credit hrs.) are required. One upper-division art history course may be replaced with a studio art or eMAD course if desired. For Students who began at DU before fall, 2008 a total of 22 hours are needed; after fall, 2008 a total of 24 hours are required.
Note- There is no minor in eMAD, but eMAD classes may become part of the Art Minor if there is space in the classes.
