Ann Irving joined the University of Denver in October 2011. In her role at the University, Ann’s responsibility is to foster relationships with alumni and friends of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies that result in significant major gifts that will address the school’s current and future priorities.
Previously, Ann was Director of Development for the Colorado Children’s Chorale, where for over 16 years she managed the annual campaign, major gifts, endowment, and corporate and foundation fundraising operations, raising millions of dollars for this premier children’s performing arts organization. During the course of 11 years at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Ann established the first comprehensive planned giving initiative and launched a major individual giving program. She also raised capital and program support from corporate and foundation sources. Ann began her fundraising career as Assistant Development Director at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
Ann is a graduate of the University of Colorado. She and her husband David, who has an MA in Anthropology from DU, are Denver natives. Their son Gideon will graduate from the University of Colorado in December 2013 with an eye on graduate school in the not-too-distant future, hopefully at the University of Denver!
