Cathy Thomas joined the University of Denver in January 2002 as an Office Assistant in the Records Department. In the merged Office of Gifts & Records, she became a Data Specialist in January 2007, then a Senior Data Specialist in November 2007. She has become a subject matter expert concerning Advancement Services' past and present data-handling practices for constituents, as well as manager for data-update requests submitted through the iPioneer email address, by our internal development partners.
A Denver native, Cathy went to New York after college, eventually serving as a Senior Secretary for Marsh & McLennan's Marine & Energy Division for nine years. Returning to Denver in 1999, she worked in the training departments of Janus Capital, Qwest and Safeway.
Cathy is a University of Denver alumna, holding a Master of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems (with a degree concentration in Database Administration) and a Graduate Certificate in Arts and Culture (with a degree concentration in Creative Writing). Her interests include crochet, canning, trivia and theater.
