Kristine Cecil joined the University of Denver in June 2011, bringing extensive expertise in organizational leadership and fundraising, including four comprehensive campaigns. She oversees the University’s core fundraising units, including annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, and gift planning. She also plays a key role in division-wide strategic planning and a new major gift program for parents. Kristine currently serves as the Executive Director of Alumni Relations.
Along with Scott Lumpkin, Vice Chancellor and Mike McCall, the other Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement, Cecil works with the Chancellor and Board of Trustees to advance the priorities of the University through the ASCEND campaign.
Prior to joining DU, Cecil served as Vice President for External Relations at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and had responsibility for development, alumni relations, and communications. In that position, she successfully led a six-year, $300 million comprehensive campaign. Cecil also served as Director of Development for the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Carleton College.
