Leigh Elliott joined the University of Denver in March 2007. She adds value to the university’s development effort by leading the Foundation Relations team. Leigh designs and implements fundraising strategies for all units and university centers of excellence, representing the entire portfolio of University needs to local, regional, and national private grantmaking organizations.
Leigh has lived in the Denver area for almost fifteen years, working extensively in the nonprofit community. Prior to joining the University of Denver, she served in a number of roles at JVA Consulting, LLC, a national consulting firm. In addition to providing capacity building and facilitation services, she also managed the Grant Writing Department, supervising over 60 proposals submitted annually to foundations and government sources to raise more than $5 million each year.
She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, earning both a B.A. in English and M.A. in Sociology. Leigh and her family live in the Denver suburbs with their dog Wrigley.
