Mike McCall joined the University of Denver in September 2011. He adds value to the university's advancement effort by leading a team of development professionals that provide a suite of fundraising services to the campus and its centers of excellence. Mike oversees the areas of Principal Gifts, Gift Planning, Regional and Constituent Fundraising, Foundation Relations and Prospect Management and Research.
Prior to joining the University of Denver, Mike served as Associate Vice President/Chief Development Officer at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, where he served in various fundraising leadership roles since 1999. At Cal Poly, he helped lead the university's first comprehensive campaign totaling $264 million, the largest campaign effort by any public master's degree campus in the nation at the time. He had also been part of the gift planning team at the University of Colorado Foundation for five years.
He is a graduate of Old Dominion University and Wake Forest University School of Law. In addition, Mike recently participated the High Performance Leadership program in the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business. He and his wife, Joyce, live in Arvada and have four sons. Their oldest son, Bryce, is a freshman at DU studying computer science in the Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science.
