Academic Assessment Advisory Committee
The Office of Academic Assessment sponsors a University-wide advisory group that helps maintain and strengthen DU's efforts to assess undergraduate and graduate student learning.
The Academic Assessment Advisory Committee (AAAC) is a group of faculty members selected by their units' deans. The committee is chaired by Janette Benson, director of Academic Assessment and associate professor of psychology.
Members hold two- to four-year terms and meet one to three times per quarter, at the will of the committee and as the need arises.
The AAAC provides input and guidance for a wide range of issues related to the assessment of student learning, including:
- Professional development opportunities for faculty and staff
- Reviewing policies related to regular assessment practices and reporting
- Other activities designed to support, strengthen and maintain the academic assessment of student learning at the undergraduate and graduate-professional levels at DU
You can read AAAC meeting minutes on the committee's Portfolio site.
