I've never used Blackboard before. How do I log
into Blackboard for the first time?
Will changing my Blackboard password also change
my email password?
I am using the "Forgot My Password" link as you have
suggested, yet keep getting a "An e-mail address was not found for the
user id specified" message. What is wrong?
I just had the Help Desk change my agora or email
password and am using the "Forgot My Password" function, yet still can't
access Blackboard.
I have gotten into Blackboard, but I don't see
any classes listed under the heading "Courses you are enrolled in" even
though I have already registered for my classes. Why aren't my classes
showing?
I need to enroll in a class, yet when I go to the course
listings, I can't find where I can enroll.
I need to drop my class. How do I unenroll through
Blackboard?
How do I send my instructor my paper using the Blackboard Digital Drop Box?
When I put my course CD in my CD drive and click on the link to the movie clip in Blackboard, it doesn't
work. How do I view links to a movie clip within Blackboard from my class CD?

Will changing my Blackboard password also change
my email password?
Although you use the same login (username) for Blackboard as for your email
or agora account, these are two separate systems. Hence, changing
a password on one WILL NOT change the password on the other. If you
wish to make your Blackboard password the same as your email password,
you may change your Blackboard password in the "Personal Information" section
found on the "My DU" page that displays once you log into Blackboard.

There are several reasons why you might get this message. First,
you may not actually be in the Blackboard system yet. This is very
likely if you have a DU email account with an expired password. To
have your email or agora password reactivated, please contact the Help
Desk at x4700 and select option 2 in order to have your email or agora
password reset. Please note that once you have had your password
reset, it will take 2 working days for you to show up in Blackboard.
Once the system has been updated, you are still required to follow the
instructions for first
time users.
Occasionally, you will still have trouble logging into Blackboard even
if you have had your password reset. If this is the case, please
contact the Help Desk at x4700 and speak to an Associate to ensure your
login or username are correct.

I just had the Help Desk change my agora or email
password and am using the "Forgot My Password" function, yet still can't
access Blackboard.
It takes two days for the systems to update to add you to Blackboard.
Therefore, you will have to wait 2 full working days to access Blackboard
once you have your email password changed.

Even though you have registered for your courses, you will either be enrolled
in the Blackboard component by your instructor, or will need to self-enroll
if that is the method your instructor has chosen. If your instructor
has directed you to self-enroll, you may access enrollment instructions
at the following URL:
http://www.du.edu/blackboard/enroll.html.
If you have been instructed to self-enroll, yet do not see the "enroll"
button, please contact your instructor.
Remember, enrolling in Blackboard DOES NOT mean you are officially
enrolled
with the registrars office. You MUST enroll with the registrars office
at 871-GOAL or http://www.du.edu/registrar
to receive credit for the course.

I need to enroll in a class, yet when I go to the
course listings, I can't find where I can enroll.
There are two reasons you will not see an "enroll" button. First,
if you selected "Preview" from the front page of Blackboard rather than
logging in with your username and password, you will not be able to enroll
in any courses. You MUST obtain a login and password to enroll in
the Blackboard component of your course. Please see "Logging
into Blackboard for the first time" for complete instructions.
If you have logged into Blackboard using your username and password,
but do not see the "enroll" button next to your course please speak with
your instructor.

I need to drop my class. How do I unenroll through
Blackboard?
You CAN NOT drop your class through Blackboard. Please contact the
registrar at 871-GOAL or http://www.du.edu/registrar
to officially drop your course. Once your instructor receives
information
verifying you have dropped the course, (s)he will remove you from the
Blackboard
portion of the class.
How do I send my instructor my paper using the Blackboard Digital Drop Box?Click on the Tools button
on your Blackboard Navigation bar, then select Digital Drop Box. Click the
"Send
File" button, browse for the file you wish to send and click submit. If you choose to use the Add File option, it will not be sent to

When I put my course CD in my CD drive and click on the link to the movie clip in Blackboard, it doesn't
work. How do I view links to a movie clip within Blackboard from my class CD?If you have trouble accessing the movie clip, you may
need to change your CD Drive letter in the Personal Information editor. Click the Student Tools button to the left, then select
Personal Information and click on Set CD-ROM Drive option. Select the CD-ROM drive for your computer. If you are unsure of your CD
Drive letter, double click on the My Computer Icon on your desktop to locate the CD Drive letter. If the movie clip is a Quick Time
Movie, the Quick Time Player must be installed on your computer to view the movie. You can download a free Quick Time Player at

My
instructor has posted my Grades on Blackboard. Where do I go to find my
grades?To access your grades posted in your Blackboard course, click the Tools button on the navigation bar. Choose the link Check
Grade. Any of your grades posted in Blackboard should be visible. You will only be able to view your own grades. Please note, not all
instructors use the Blackboard grade book to post student grades, so this option may not be available depending on the course.
