THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA:
The University of Bologna, the oldest university in the western world,
provides an enduring legacy and rich resources. Bologna has established
partnership
agreements with almost 500 European universities and established similar
arrangements with universities in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile,
China, India, Japan, Russia, United States and several other nations.
The University of Bologna has as its focus “to meet the demands
of society, to remain always open to dialogue [and] to affirm the vital
need for different cultures to know and influence each other [by] encouraging
mobility among teachers and students.”
In 1888, in recognition of its longevity and accomplishments, the university

The University of Denver (DU), the oldest independent university
